How many output pins are there in microprocessor 8085?
Pin configuration of the microprocessor 8085 is shown in the figure:-
It is a 40 pin DiP(Dual in Package) IC by Intel introduced in 1976. It has some basic features like:
- 8-bit processor
- 8-bit data bus
- 16-bit address bus
- 8-bit ALU
- Six 8-bit Registers( B,C,D,E,H,L) to store data for processing
- 6 Interrupt control lines etc.
If you meant by Data o/p pins then there are 8 pins AD0-AD7 from pin no. 12 to 19.
If you were meant to all the data and address o/p lines then they are 16, from pin no. 12 to 19 for lower 8 bit of the address/data and pin no. 21 to 28 for the upper 8-bit address.
But if you were meant to total the number of pins which can send out signals from the Processor then there are total 27 pins which are used to output the signals/data. Among them 8 are Bidirectional (AD0-AD7).
For the better understanding, a table is shown below.
Hope it would be enough for understanding the number of output lines in an 8085 microprocessor. Please comment for your feedback and further queries.
Thanks.
